Joining MUS
Membership is open to all students and staff from the University and to all members of the community who love to sing. The choir has about 140 members. Membership for sopranos and altos is currently closed whilst basses and tenors are welcome. If you are interested in joining us please contact the MUS Membership Secretary or fill in the online form.
Annual Membership Subscriptions in 2012 are $20 for students and $60 for non-students and the validity period is over the calendar year. A refundable deposit of $20 is required for borrowing music
Rehearsals are held on Monday nights in Building X5B Room 292, Macquarie University (find a campus map here) from 7 – 9.30pm and include a tea-break (byo). During the preparation period for our concerts there may be additional rehearsals required during a weekend or weeknight . When attending rehearsals you should bring a 2B pencil, an eraser and your own tea break supplies.
Requirements
We do have certain requirements with regard to attendance at rehearsals and care of music. The choir has a good mix of serious attention to music, excellence and social fun.

The choir is “non-auditioned” but the Principal Conductor may wish to hear members sing individually from time to time.
