Please invite people to our Singing Workshop – Saturday 9th March, 2-5pm.
We have received a wonderful response from our advertising of the Saturday 9th March workshop. We have 31 registrations, many from people who are members of other choirs. This is an event where Macquarie Singers can give back to the community but it is also an important opportunity to encourage people to join our choir. Please invite friends, family members, neighbours and colleagues to join you at this workshop. This is the link to the promotion flyer to send for the singing workshop. The workshop will be followed again by social drinks at Epping Club. Use the sign on sheets at rehearsal or email to register your guests.

Trip to Young – May 25 & 26Trip to Young – May 25 & 26
The details for our Young visit are yet to be finalised but the timetable will be approximately as follows:
12.30pm: Meet our Hilltops Choir hosts and have a light lunch at a club in town
1.30-5.30pm: Rehearsal at the Town Hall, which is not far from the club
6.30-9.30pm: Dinner at the club (and perhaps trivia)
9.30am-12.30pm: Rehearsal at the Town Hall
2.00-3.30pm: Concert at the Town Hall
4.00pm: Bus departs
At the concert MUS and Hilltops Choir will each sing a bracket and then we will combine for a bracket.
At present, of the 38 members who have put their names down for Young, only 13 have indicated that they would take a bus if we hire one. We may need a few more to go by bus to make it viable. Please consider whether you can join a bus if we provide one.

Monday Night Supper

Please don’t forget to bring along a little supper to share when you can! The donations of 50c for tea/coffee and 50c for the nibbles are a great help.

MUS2 2018 Video
A big ‘thank you’ to Tonya Symons and Jeremy Pooch for allowing MUS members to view the video taken by Jeremy of our Laid Bare concert. Please note that the concert is uploaded as an unlisted video, which means that it’s for MUS members’ eyes only and is NOT to be re-posted on people’s social media sites or shared publicly.

Visit the Members News section of the website to view the Laid Bare videos

Update on our treasurer
As many of you will know, Sharon Finn, our treasurer, was involved in a car accident and is currently in hospital. The car’s air bags didn’t inflate and she fractured her sternum but luckily, in her words, she sustained “no other damage”. She is recovering well but will be out of action for quite some weeks to come. She wishes to thank MUS for their gift and best wishes and is looking forward to coming back to rehearsals as soon as possible.
